Originally from French Polynesia, Teano moved to Australia 15 years ago to pursue a Bachelor of Clinical Science and a Master of Osteopathic Medicine at Southern Cross University on the Gold Coast, QLD.In 2020, Teano relocated to Western Australia with his wife—who is originally from WA—so they could raise their young family closer to loved ones. He was awarded a scholarship by the University of South Australia to complete a postgraduate degree in Pain Science, which he successfully completed in 2022. As part of the scholarship, Teano committed to working in a rural area to support people living with pain.After fulfilling his scholarship requirements, Teano chose to continue serving the Boyup Brook community, where he was deeply moved by the warm welcome and appreciation shown by locals.
Having experienced multiple surgeries and accidents himself, Teano brings not only professional expertise but also personal understanding to the challenges of living with pain.His approach is grounded in empathy, evidence-based care, and a strong connection to the community he now proudly calls home.
